We envision a farmhouse as the main hub of the community. The hearth for socialising, cooking and dining together, in a beautifully designed refectory. Surrounded by panoramic views of lush, verdant organic pastures, where our happy livestock graze.
Our farm buildings nearby, support the mixed farm, and old buildings are renovated. Linked to the homestead, both sides, by productive atriums will be two large courtyard gardens, surrounded by a quadrangle of beautiful moon-wood, uniquely designed homes.
There will be many purpose-built buildings including a therapy centre/spa, artisan workshops, reception and admin building, Steward's accommodation, with a large gathering/workshop centre, above.
We will have food processing facilities, large barn warehouse, together with a large green-house and horticultural polytunnels. A large pond, and hopefully, also beside a natural water course.
Our first priority is to become entirely off-grid, using (ideally) hydropower, solar, with woodstoves in every home. Ancient woodland on enough acreage, for firewood and agroforestry provisions. Our aim is to have around 200 acres, or the opportunity to purchase more land, in our phase 2 intake.
Near bridleways for fun horse-riding, preferably near a national park. As a Divine communal eco monastery, we will have an alternative Ecclesiastical Trust, to protect our land, and our peaceful missions.
